when I gave in
and surrendered my weight,
leaning in closer to Life,
I said,
“you’re greater than me,
thank you,
you may take me,”
we began giggling
like two little girls
and I followed Her lead
ever since.
my life became joy,
my grief my gift,
my path my service.
